TILDEN WEBB, piano

Originally from Regina, Saskatchewan, Tilden began studying classical piano at the age of 8. His subsequent interest in jazz led him to Montreal to study at McGill University. Since receiving his music degree, Tilden has taught at McGill University and Vanier College, and been a clinician for Capilano College, Brandon University and Grant MacEwen Community College passing on his knowledge of and enthusiasm for jazz piano.

As a performer, Tilden has played with jazz musicians throughout Canada, the US and Brazil, and performed in festivals from Vancouver to Halifax, to Sao Paulo, Brazil, to Tokyo, Japan. He has recorded over two dozen CDs with such musicians as Ray Brown, Ed Thigpen, Dave Young, and toured for 7 years with Montreal vocalist Ranee Lee.
