Cary Chow [piano] became an accomplished pianist early in his life and at the age of eighteen was awarded the DipRAM, the highest prize from the Royal Academy of Music in London. As a concert performer, he has appeared with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, the Calgary Philharmonic, and the Victoria Symphony. His debut recital in New York was as part of a special series at the Metropolitan Museum of Art inaugurated by the American pianist Andre Watts. He continues to devote much of his time to teaching. He has been a faculty member of the University of Victoria, the Victoria Conservatory of Music, the Shanghai Conservatory, and in 2006-7 was guest professor and performer at Beijing Central Conservatory and Xing Hai Conservatory in Guangzhou. He now lives in Vancouver and teaches from his private studio.
