JOHN REISCHMAN, mandolin
Capable of swinging between re-inventions of traditional old-time tunes, bluegrass, and original tunes, John’s versatility and musical curiosity carries the spirit of acoustic music into the 21st Century. His band, the Jaybirds, tours Canada and the United States. Living in the San Francisco Bay Area in the 80s, Reischman absorbed and then built on the music of the great mandolin players of that time. He is a Grammy-award winning performer with many CDs to his credit.
