Bio
ALEXANDER WEIMANN, piano and harpsichord
Alexander Weimann has traveled the world with ensembles of several countries, including Canada’s Toronto-based Baroque goup, Tafelmusik, and is now Artistic Director of the Pacific Baroque Orchestra in Vancouver, and music director of the Canadian vocal ensemble Les Voix Baroques. In addition to live performance, Alexander has recorded many CDs during his career, and his album with Karina Gauvin and Arion Baroque Orchestra won a Juno Award in 2013. Alexander Weimann completed his studies in Munich, where he studied organ, theatre, medieval Latin, Gregorian Chant and jazz piano.
