Growing up in Kaslo BC, Aurora Smith has had many opportunities to perform and teach both classical violin and fiddle.  Starting at the age of six she has excelled and now brings her youthful energy to the stage.  Playing with various chamber music groups as well as performing with the Symphony of the Kootenays she has made a name for herself as an up and coming classical violinist.  Aurora is a staple at the Old Time Fiddler's summer program in Castlegar and performs in the band Breakwater.  In addition to performing, Aurora is a seasoned teacher of both classical violin and fiddle playing.  She works with students of all ages and abilities and teaches in Nelson and Kaslo.
