Kathryn Wiebe, violin

Originally from Windsor, Ontario, Kathryn is an active freelance violinist recently settled on Vancouver Island.  As a child, she was invited to solo with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra on several occasions, and went on to study at the University of Toronto and University of Michigan.  She is an alumnus of National Youth Orchestra of Canada, Canada’s premier training program, and has participated in many summer programs in Canada and the US.  She has performed with the Victoria Symphony, The Victoria Bach Ensemble, and the Detroit Civic Orchestra.  She enjoys arranging a wide variety of music from different eras for two violins, and performing them with her Sombrio Duo partner.
