Bio
Jan Bislin has been playing the violin since the age of four. Two decades later he is now recognised as a rare virtuoso on the violin and piano. The BC native captivates and awes audiences as he gently, yet powerfully, creates a living, dynamic symphony of sound. Bislin has since become a well-known classical jazz player and composer throughout the Lower Mainland and Vancouver. He has won several provincial music festivals, is a double silver medalist from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, and performed numerous concerts in the U.S., Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, England and Italy. Bislin has also released two albums, the latest titled Strings on Fire. He is currently studying with world-renowned violinist Boris Brovtsyn at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and performs on a Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume violin.
