Bio
Clarinettist Michelle Anderson performs regularly with the Vancouver Opera Orchestra, and has performed with several other professional groups including the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the West Coast Chamber Music series, the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, the CBC Vancouver Orchestra and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet Orchestra. She was a founding member of the Aspen Wind Players and has been a member of the Pacific Symphonic Wind Ensemble for several years. Michelle enjoys performing, coaching, and conducting. Michelle has been an inspirational musical leader of individuals and groups for over 30 years to students of all ages. She currently teaches in her home studio in Vancouver, as has been the main clarinet teacher at St. George's School since 1990. She also leads educational workshops for several musical groups in the Lower Mainland, including the Vancouver Symphony Youth Orchestras, and the Vancouver Symphony Connects Program. Michelle is the founder of Clarinet Mentors, which offers online videos to help people play clarinet more easily. Her YouTube channel has been viewed over 1,000,000 times.
