Daryl Verville, piano

Daryl studied privately and as a piano performance major at University of Alberta with the great Canadian piano pedagogue Dr. Ernesto Lejano.  Dr. Lejano carried and transmitted to his students a musical lineage going straight back to Beethoven and has been characterized as the 'singing style' of the romantic tradition.  Daryl was one of Lejano's formost students and has performed concerts here in Canada and abroad throughout his life.  Daryl's artistic spirit has broadened to include his own creations of multi-media works and a feature documentary that won wide praise and reviews both here in canada and abroad.  He brings a unique and illuminating perspective to his performances by his insights into the cultural and mythic components based on his in-depth study of Jungian and Depth psychology.  Daryl specializes in concerts of piano music from the romantic and impressionist eras.
