Bio
Born in Bulgaria, Cvetozar Vutev began violin at the age of six, and played his first solo recital at 16. Several years later Cvetozar moved to Sofia to study at the State Academy of Music. In 1990 he earned a Master of Music degree in violin performance. He has also worked with several world-famous violin teachers in the UK and Germany. He has performed as a soloist, and in opera, chamber and symphony concerts in 12 European countries, Korea, Japan and Canada. Now settled in Canada, Cvetozar has served as Concertmaster with the Kamloops Symphony since September 2005 and teaches violin, viola and chamber music ensembles with the Kamloops Symphony Music School. He is also a member of the Okanagan Symphony. Since September 2007 Cvetozar has been Music Director of the Vivace Chorale in Kamloops.
