AK Coope, clarinet

AK Coope is frequently heard performing with the Vancouver and Victoria Symphonies, Turning Point Ensemble, the Ad Mare Wind Quintet, and the Vancouver New Music Ensemble.  She is a member of Standing Wave, one of Canada’s premier contemporary music ensembles, and can also be heard on numerous film sound tracks and CD recordings, from Disney to Dan Mangan.  AK has recently performed both nationally and internationally including concerts across Eastern Canada, New York City and in Bali, Indonesia.  AK holds degrees in performance from UBC and from Northwestern University, and has been a member of the clarinet faculty at the Vancouver Academy of Music for the past 20 years.
