Bio
Born in Toronto, Ontario, Chris Krushel [soprano] realized early on that music would be a large part of her life. When she was seven years old, she would wrap her mother’s apron twice around her waist and run through the neighborhood, arms outspread, singing, “The Hills are Alive with the Sound of Music.” Performances have included chorus and solo work in productions such as Amahl and the Night Visitors, Riders to the Sea, H.M.S. Pinafore, Oliver, and Anne of Green Gables, and included performances of standard soprano repertoire from all eras. Recently, Chris has had the pleasure to join the Kamloops Symphony as a soloist in two of their Primarily Music shows. Currently Chris sings with the Cantabile Singers and with the vocal trio, Classic Blend, performing classical and musical theater repertoire. Teaching and conducting have always been a passion of Chris’ and continues to be a focus in her musical life.
