Bio
Madd Regaeles’ Muse Founded in the summer of 1998, Madd Regaeles’ Muse performs ‘popular’ chansons, madrigals and other ditties from Medieval times to the present, as well as Celtic folk and original music. This multilingual, multi-talented group typically consists of five members who delight the auditory senses with soprano, alto, tenor and bass voices, accompanied by guitar, recorder, dulcimer, hurdy-gurdy, bodhran and other instruments. Wearing costumes of the time period from which much of their music originates, this group transports you to an earlier day when minstrels traveled from village to village to inform and entertain the populace. The group has compiled a mosaic of European folk tunes for their first CD Love, Lust and Libation. They are currently working on their second CD for the Christmas and winter season. Madd Regaeles’ Muse performs at venues across the Lower Mainland and beyond, including the Seattle Folk Life Festival, Richmond Tall Ships Festival, Bard on the Beach as well as at private functions.
