Olivia Walsh, cello

Olivia Walsh holds a degree in performance from the University of Alberta. Upon graduation, Olivia began a career as a teacher, a conductor and a freelance musician. She has conducted a number of student string orchestras, taking an orchestra to Montreal and Ottawa to perform at a national youth orchestral festival. Olivia has had the opportunity to study cello, chamber music and play under the baton of outstanding teachers and musical icons, including Mstislav Rostropovich, Janos Starker, and Amanda Forsyth. Olivia teaches in Kelowna, Kamloops and Penticton, and is a happy section cellist in both the Okanagan Symphony and the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra.
