SIMON COLE, clarinet

Simon has been principal clarinet of the Prince George Symphony Orchestra since the late 1980’s. He also appears as a soloist outside Prince George, and enjoys touring to remote communities with his chamber music colleagues. He estimates over 10,000 children have attended the concerts at their schools.

Simon is a composer whose compositions have been performed by the PGSO, for international associations, and broadcast on CBC.

He teaches in Prince George, and his students can be found working as musicians and teachers throughout Canada and the US. Simon is also an entrepreneur who runs a business of woodwind repairs and supplies.
