Bio
Ann Fraser studied violin at the University of Idaho at Moscow and at the University of Missouri at Columbia. She moved to Canada in 1982 to take a position with the Victoria Symphony and since 1991 has maintained a freelance career around Victoria, playing for local ensembles such as the Vancouver Island Symphony, Victoria Operatic Society, and the Resphigi String Quartet. In recent years, she has avidly embraced early music, playing Baroque violin with “Les Violes de St. Colombe” and the newly formed “Festival Consort”. In addition to her violin playing, she has earned a reputation as a writer and arranger and has built an extensive library to fill a demand for music used by working chamber ensembles throughout Victoria.
