Ray Kirkham
Bio
Raymond Kirkham has been a member of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra trumpet section since 1966. In addition to his duties in the VSO, he regularly performs with his three sons in a band called "The Vincent Black Shadow". They have been touring major USA and European cities such as Berlin, Rome, London, New York and LA on a regular basis since the debut of their recording "Fears in the water" in July of 2006. In the summer of 2007 they once again were featured on the "Vans warped tour "of the USA playing 44 dates. Ray’s two greatest memories are his first job in 1964 as a performer in the opening act for "The Beatles" at old empire stadium and performing at the 1984 mass for Pope John Paul II.
