A native of Kamloops, British Columbia tenor Peter Collins made his mainstage debut with the Canadian Opera Company in 2001, and since then has performed a variety of roles with the company, and served as the understudy for some major roles. He has sung in gala concerts with Opéra de Québec, The Canadian Opera Company and the University of Victoria. In addition to his operatic experience, Mr. Collins has performed in Verdi’s Requiem, Mozart’s Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, Judas Maccabeus, and Israel in Egypt, and Mendelssohn's Elijah. Mr. Collins is a graduate of the University of Victoria, the University of Toronto Opera Division, and the Canadian Opera Company’s Ensemble Studio where he then spent a further four years as a principal performer.
