Bio
Mezzo soprano Jennifer Greenwood began her voice training in Thunder Bay, where she was successful in many music festivals and community musical productions. She was then privileged to study privately with the late Lois Marshall in Toronto for three years before moving out west to get her Bachelor of Music at UBC. Her operatic roles have included roles in Humperdinck’s Hansel & Gretel, Rossini’s Cinderella, Mozart’s The Magic Flute, and Bizet’s Carmen. She has sung in oratorios such as Handel’s Messiah and Mozart’s Requiem with symphonies and choral societies throughout BC. She was a regular with the Vancouver Opera Chorus for nine years before taking on her role as stay-at-home-Mom for her two children, and maintains her connection with the Vancouver Opera.
