Jakub Kaiser [violin and viola] is a native of Prague (in the former Czechoslovakia) and has played both violin and viola since the age of 8. He continued his studies in music in conservatories and universities in Quebec, and Vienna. During his studies he played with the Vienna States Opera, the Quebec and Atlantic (Halifax) Symphonies, and Ballet Canadien in Montreal, and in recitals and chamber music concerts. In 1983 after he moved to western Canada to assume a position of a concertmaster with the Kamloops Symphony. From 1985 to 1997 he was a member of the Okanagan Symphony. Up till the present he continues to partake in local musical events.
