A native of Columbia, Aquizamin Garcia (guitar) started his studies at age of 16.  As a soloist and member of the Gentil Montaña Guitar Quartet he has performed at major venues in Colombia and the U.S. including New York City.  Two years ago he moved to Vancouver to pursue advanced study in guitar performance. During this time, he performed regularly as a member of UBC`s ArtsWay Ambassador program. He also has performed at Douglas College for the Arts at One concert series and at the 2009 UBC Alumni Achievement Awards, and at the Chan Center for the UBC 2010 Baccalaureate Concert in May 26, 2010.
