Bio
RUTH GREENAWAY-ROBBINS, soprano
Ruth is a native of the United Kingdom, where she trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. She moved to Vancouver with her family in 2006.
She has won awards for her work as a recitalist including the Della Windsor award, and was invited to perform a recital of rare Mansel Thomas songs for the Mansel Thomas Family and at the European Conservatories Convention. In Vancouver Ruth performs regularly for Health Arts Society and provides regular recitals for those in the Downtown Eastside. Her outreach work has also included her work as both a founding board member and teacher for Saint James Music Academy, a non-profit music school providing free classical music training for disadvantaged children. Ruth also performs extensively in concert and oratorio performance. She has sung with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Bournemouth Symphony and City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. She performs professionally for the Saint James High Mass Choir.
