Soprano Catherine Affleck [soprano] recently completed her formal training at the University of British Columbia with a Masters degree in Opera Performance.  She now has an active career in opera and also performs in concert. Catherine was the soprano soloist with the Vancouver Symphony at The Last Night of the Proms. She was Regional Finalist of the 2010 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, and First Place Winner of the Vancouver Women’s Musical Society Vocal Competition, 2010. In September, Ms. Affleck will be singing with Vancouver Opera in the Schools’ production of La Cenerentola.  This production travels throughout BC to present opera to a next generation of opera audience.
