Bio
Soprano Catherine Laub belongs to a musical family and began singing in public and studying piano at age four. Through her teens, Catherine studied music and performed in many musical groups, but her aim was to attend law school. When the time came she chose music and went on to study at music schools in the US and in Vienna. She completed her Masters in Voice Performance at Westminster Choir College, which included the opportunity to perform with the New York Philharmonic. She spent the next few years in New York, and in 2006, Catherine moved to Vancouver where she sings with Erato Ensemble, the Vancouver Chamber Choir, musica intima, and performs as a soloist with various choirs and orchestras, and in music festivals. Current projects include running a summer chamber music training program and performing outreach shows in Vancouver and Lower Mainland through ASCM (Art Song Chamber Music) Group.
