Bio
Violist Isabelle Roland is a native of Canada, but grew up dividing her time between Paris and Vancouver. Her early study was at the University of Victoria, and then her advanced study at the Cleveland Institute. Isabelle has performed with the Victoria Symphony, the Vancouver Symphony, the Sinfonia of the North Shore, the West Coast Symphony, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and is a member of the Vancouver Opera Orchestra. She also enjoys a busy chamber music career. Isabelle helped found the Savitri Quartet, and has performed on CBC Radio with them. From 1996-1998, Isabelle served as assistant principal with the Colorado Music Festival in Boulder, Colorado. As well as juggling a busy performing career, Isabelle joins her love of music and children by teaching violin and viola at the Vancouver Academy of Music.
