Mr. Nikolai Maloff is the only Canadian pianist to win first prize at the prestigious Franz Liszt International Piano Competition in Italy, and is a winner of other important competitions in Canada and internationally. His piano studies have taken him to Vienna, to UBC, and to numerous summer festivals to work with prominent performers and teachers. The highlight of his studies was his acceptance at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory on full scholarship awarded by the Canada Council of the Arts. Mr. Maloff was Professor at the Lima State Conservatory of Music in Peru, and the Musical Director of the Alejandro Granda Opera Workshop.
