Born in Québec City, Andre Lachance (bass and guitar) moved to Vancouver in 1990, and quickly established himself on the music scene with the city’s diverse jazz groups with whom he has toured nationally and internationally.  He performs with his colleagues on a number of recordings, including for CBC and Radio Canada.  Andre is comfortable with styles from jazz, to improvisation, funk, pop, and dance and theatre.  He has been teaching bass (and guitar) at Capilano College since 1996. He was on faculty at the Banff International Jazz Workshop in 2004. He also does sound engineering for Radio-Canada FM in Vancouver.
