Mary Byrne received her degrees in flute at the University of Michigan, and then came to Victoria to complete her doctorate.  She performs regularly in the Victoria area as a solo recitalist, with colleagues in chamber music, and with the Victoria Symphony.  Mary devotes much of her time to her active private studio of flute students of all ages and interest, and pushes each to achieve to his/her highest potential, and some going on to win awards.
