Pianist Ellen Silverman has performed in New York, Hong Kong, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and Milwaukee as well as in Vancouver. She performs as a soloist, frequently plays with French flutist, Isabelle Chapuis, and has toured with her husband, Robert Silverman to perform music for four-hands—sometimes on two pianos or sometimes four hands on one piano! Ellen is Coordinator of the Piano Department at Douglas College, has served on the summer faculty at UBC, and presently directs the piano faculty of the Courtenay Youth Music Centre. She also teaches privately and is well known as an adjudicator at virtually every music festival in British Columbia.
