Bio
Chris Millington [saxophone] earned his degrees from the University of Ottawa and the Berklee College of Music. He played principal saxophone with the premier band of the Canadian Armed Forces, and for ten years, performed with the Canadian government’s top diplomatic musical ensemble. He served as Director of the navy’s jazz ensemble, the Tradewinds Jazz Orchestra. His audiences have included dignitaries including Queen Elizabeth II, Prime Ministers Jean Chretien and Margaret Thatcher, and presidents Bill Clinton and Boris Yeltsin. His playing partners have included many jazz greats. He has an active career in Victoria, as leader of the house trio in the Bengal Lounge in the Fairmont Empress, leading the group Dancin! during the summer at the Butchart Gardens and most recently performing with David Foster in the Morry Stearns Band at Mt. Doug's 80th Anniversary gala.
