Tzenka Dianova, piano

Tzenka Dianova made her debut at age five. Since then, she has regularly concertized throughout Bulgaria, Russia, Austria, Italy, France, UK, Canada, USA, and New Zealand. Tzenka completed advanced studies at the State Academy of Music in Sofia, Bulgaria the University of Victoria, and a Doctorate from the University of Auckland. For the past fifteen years, she has been researching and performing 20th and 21st century music, specializing in the prepared piano of John Cage, and commissioning and premiering works by leading composers from Canada, Austria, Romania, Italy, and Greece. Tzenka currently resides in Victoria, British Columbia, where she works as an orchestral pianist with the Victoria Symphony and the Vancouver Island Symphony.
