GORDON GRDINA, guitar and oud

Gordon Grdina is a Vancouver-based performer who combines his interests in mainstream jazz, free-form improvisation and Arabic Classical music. His CD “Think Like the Waves” on Songlines, reflects all of these influences. He performs, tours, and records with groups such as the ensemble Box Cutter, East Van Strings, Sangha (Arabic/Persian/Indian ensemble), Loose Acoustic, and as a freelance musician, he teams with fellow musicians who like to create and innovate.
