Bio
Oboist Patrick Heatherley began his musical life in England, initially playing cello and piano before turning to the oboe at the age of eleven. As a member of the National Youth Wind Orchestra of Great Britain, he went on to study music at the University of Durham and subsequently received a scholarship to pursue a Masters degree in oboe performance at the University of Colorado at Boulder under James Brody. Since immigrating to Canada ten years ago, Patrick has continued to teach and perform, having worked with Nova Sinfonia and the Halifax Baroque Ensemble in Nova Scotia and most recently with Symphony of the Kootenays.
