David Herbison began his singing career as a boy soprano soloist with Amy Ferguson's Nelson Boys Choir. He continued singing, completing the Royal Conservatory exams in voice and piano in his youth.  After a break of twenty years, he returned to music and the theatre performing in Gilbert and Sullivan productions and taking roles in La boheme and The Magic Flute with the Nelson Community Opera. He has sung Handel's Messiah with the Nelson Choral Society and the Symphony of the Kootenays.
