Bio
Originally from Nelson, BC, Molly MacKinnon grew up in a thriving arts community where she had numerous opportunities to develop her love for classical and Celtic music. She had the pleasure of playing in the National Youth Orchestra of Canada in 2006 and 2009, and in the latter year won the position of concertmaster and received a NYOC Board of Directors Leadership Award. in 2012, Molly was part of a musical adaptation of Dostoyevsky's The Idiot, a feature play in Vancouver's PuSh International Performing Arts Festival. A recent graduate of the University of British Columbia, Molly now works as a free-lance violinist and has played with various groups, including the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. This past April she was part of the production Stationary: A Recessionary Musical.
