Rozalyn Chok
Bio
Pianist Rozalyn Chok received her Bachelor of Music degree from The Juilliard School, where she was awarded the John Erskine Prize for outstanding artistic and academic achievement. In 2007, she won the Toronto Symphony National Concerto Competition and was a medallist in the Seattle Young Artists Music Festival. Since her orchestral debut at age 14 with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Rozalyn has also appeared with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Seattle Symphony, Philharmonia Northwest, and the CMC Gala Concert Orchestra in Quebec. In addition to her musical studies, Rozalyn was awarded the Governor General’s Academic Medal and the Premier’s Excellence Award. At Juilliard, Rozalyn was involved in the Gluck Community Service Fellowship, in which students share their creative and performing gifts with patients at healthcare facilities throughout New York City. Her career aspiration is to bridge her love of both science and music by exploring clinical applications of music as treatment for neurological disease.
