Guitarist Marc Teicholz is a graduate of Yale University and the Boalt School of Law at the University of California–Berkeley.  After being awarded first prize at the 1989 International Guitar Foundation of America Competition and becoming a prize winner at the 1991 New York East-West Artists Competition, Teicholz has toured extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Russia, receiving critical acclaim for his recitals and master classes. He also visited Southeast Asia and New Zealand and has appeared as a soloist with orchestras in Spain, Portugal, California and Hawaii.  A faculty member of the San Francisco Conservatory, he also teaches at the California Summer Arts Festival and the Weatherfield Music Festival in Vermont.  In addition to teaching and performing, Mr Teicholz has recorded with such studios as Naxos and Sugo records.  He has also had new guitar works written especially for him.
