Lloyd Arntzen is a jazz clarinetist, folk singer, and soprano saxophonist from BC, now living on Gabriola Island. Flowing out his participation in the New Orleans jazz scene, he formed the New Orleans North Traditional Jazz Band along with Alan Matheson and Craig Scott, themselves very active performers and teachers in the Vancouver jazz world. Lloyd’s family is a particularly musical one, with his sons and now grandsons making music together. On one occasion at Vancouver’s Cellar Jazz Café, the family recorded a CD live—3 Generations in Jazz.
