Lixia Li has won numerous awards and prizes at prestigious piano competitions throughout Europe and North America and has been awarded "Career Development Award" from Peabody Institute of Music of John Hopkins University in 2011. She has been invited to participate and perform in various music festivals and piano masterclasses with the leading pedagogues of our day. Besides performing solo piano repertoire, Ms. Li also has abundant experience in chamber music and opera. She has performed actively as soloist and chamber musician in Hong Kong, China, Europe and the United States in various recital halls. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree and Master of Music degree respectively at The Boston Conservatoryand the University of Cincinnati.Later she earned Graduate Performance Diploma at the prestigious Peabody Institute of Music of John Hopkins University. She currently lives in Vancouver and is mentored by Professor Lee Kum Sing while maintaining an active performance schedule.
