Katie Rife, percussion

Vancouver percussionist Katie Rife is a dynamic and active performer of classical and new music.  She is the principal percussionist of the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra and has also played with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Vancouver Opera, and the Kamloops Symphony.  Katie holds degrees in percussion performance from the University of British Columbia and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.  A dedicated educator, she is on faculty at the Vancouver Academy of Music, the Sarah McLachlan School of Music and the Langley Community Music School, where she studied piano as a child before discovering the marimba.
