Karmen Doucette, bassoon

Karmen Doucette is currently the Principal Bassoon with the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra.  She has a wealth of chamber and orchestral experience, including performances with the Waco Symphony Orchestra, Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, Calgary Opera, Kamloops Symphony Orchestra, and Red Deer Symphony, among others.  Karmen holds degrees in Bassoon Performance from the University of Calgary (B.Mus.) and Baylor University (M.Mus.).  After two terms as an Artist-in-Residence at the Banff Centre, she also attained an Artist Diploma from the Glenn Gould School at the RCM in Toronto.
