Genesis Trio

The Genesis Trio, founded by Jonathan López (clarinet), Nina Weber (viola) and Markus Masaites (piano) has become one of the leading chamber ensembles at the UBC School of Music. On their own, the ensemble's members have performed across North America and other countries including Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, the UK, Austria, Italy, Ghana and China. Together, they share a love and passion for performing chamber music, and have already garnered much recognition from their audiences across the city. In 2018, the trio was invited to perform at the renowned Brevard Music Festival.  This summer, the trio will be performing for over 700 students in El Paso, Texas, and also participate in a program hosted by Carnegie Hall’s Ensemble Connect in New York City.
