Liel Amdour, guitar

A passionate ambassador of the classical guitar, Liel Amdour is committed to sharing the music of the guitar with audiences everywhere. The 2018 recipient of the Ben Steinberg Musical Legacy Award and a two-time recipient of the British Columbia Arts Council Scholarship Award for Promising Young Artists, Ms. Amdour regularly performs as a soloist in diverse settings, and receives frequent praise for her expressive performances and charismatic presence. Dedicated to presenting her music to audiences previously unfamiliar with the classical guitar, Ms. Amdour performs in both traditional and unconventional venues, from brimming concert halls to sailboats in the open ocean and snowy mountain tops. Recent notable engagements include a solo recital for the Vancouver Classical Guitar Society Emerging Artists series, a solo recital at the Presidential Home of the University of British Columbia, a solo recital in Toronto, a solo concert at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s 100th Anniversary Celebration, and a performance for the Performing Arts Mosaic in New York City.
