Michael Wagler, bass

Michael Wagler has been an active part of Vancouver’s music scene for the last decade since graduating from Capilano University’s jazz studies program. After cutting his teeth playing as a cruise ship musician around North American and Europe, he has explored various genres and played with many Vancouver projects such as jazz bands The New Orleans Alestars and Fifth Avenue Four, alt-rock band Real Ponchos, the eclectic Bonfire Ballerina, and many more.  Influenced by upright players such as Ray Brown and Scott LaFaro, he is known for his melodic playing style and driving walking bass lines.
