Growing up in Vernon B.C., Dave began piano studies at the age of seven with Marjorie McAllister.  He began teaching piano and playing professionally in his teens with his own jazz quartet.  A music degree from Central Washington State University followed, studying with composer Paul Creston.  A move to Victoria to pursue a career as a professional musician led to performances, commissions, and projects and the opening of his piano store, Dave’s Piano & Keyboard.  Performance highlights include soloist with the Victoria Symphony, Music Director for the Butchart Gardens, and playing many other gifted arts, including his wife, pianist Linda Gould.
